Kathrin King Segal:  Singer, Songwriter, Musician, Actor, Novelist

Welcome to Kathrin King Segal’s web site

Kathrin's musical career began in Greenwich Village at the height of the New York folk music scene of the 1960s. Billed as Kathy King (and still in high school), she shared a bill at the Fat Black Pussycat, a coffee house on MacDougal Street, with Richie Havens, Tiny Tim and the impressionist comic David Frye. The well-known and the soon-to-be frequently dropped in for guest sets.
She joined up with eight other singer/musicians who became the house group at the Cafe Au Go Go. The Au Go Go Singers included several now-famous musicians. She toured as one of Bobby Vinton’
s backup singers, including performing at the Copacabana in NY, the Coconut Grove in LA, and on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Kathrin has also has performed musical theater and cabaret and has recorded 2 CDs, of mostly her own original songs. The second, Land of Beginning Again, is a collaboration with her longtime friend, guitarist Charlie Brown.
As a stage actor, she's appeared on and off-Broadway.
Her novel, Wild Again, was published by Dutton.
